Carrying The World On Your Shoulders: Salt & Hide Sagan Backpack Review
Item gifted for review, but all views are my own
Regular readers will know that I’ve been rather partial to a review of items from the lovely folks at Trendhim over the past couple of years. In case you haven’t read the previous reviews (you really should, as they are really rather good in my humble opinion) Trendhim is an award-winning men’s accessories brand founded in Denmark in 2007. They have 13 of their own exclusive brands, only available through Trendhim, and yes, you’ve guessed it, Salt & Hide is one of those brands!
Enough of the intro, let’s get down to business. And today’s business is this beauty!
Salt & Hide Sagan Green & Brown Backpack Review
First up with the basics. This lovely Salt & Hide backpack measures in at 41cm tall, 34cm wide and 13cm deep and can hold a laptop up to 15.6″ in its own special padded compartment. The bag is made from tough cotton canvas, with leather and metal detailing and comes in a fetching grey and tan or green and brown.
One of the big things that stands out for me with this backpack is the number of pockets and compartments. It’s a veritable feast of storage! Don’t believe me? Just have a look!
There are two large central compartments, and one front pocket. One of the two largest compartments, which has the laptop area, also has a large zipped pocket and two further storage pockets which could be used for phones or tablets or chargers and cables etc. The other large compartment has two large zipped areas along with four smaller pockets and two pen holders. Finally there is a decently-sized front zipped compartment, so there is a lot of storage areas in this backpack!
The whole thing feels really sturdy and is nice and comfortable to wear too, aided by the fully adjustable shoulder straps. The material feels strong and durable so I imagine it would be difficult to damage and should last a good few years of regular use. Most importantly, it holds a lot of stuff and looks great, which are probably the two main things I’m looking for in a backpack!
If I was being super critical I would say that the only way of improving this backpack would be the addition of a side pocket for a drink bottle, as that would be handy for commuting or when out and about on walks. But you can’t have everything in life, and there are so many pockets inside that it’s no major hassle popping my drink in there instead, so it’s definitely not a deal breaker.
Overall I’m really happy with this Salt & Hide Backpack. It’s perfect for work or for days out and its style goes perfectly with my own rugged good looks and charm…
It’s available through the Trendhim website and is currently priced at £119.99, which isn’t too bad considering how much use I am likely to get out of it over the coming years.
Even if you aren’t blown away by the backpack there are so many other awesome items on the website that it’s well worth having a good look through as you’re bound to find something for yourself or for the special man in your life. Happy hunting!
