Shock absorbers are another component that you should invest in, along with other features to provide as safe and comfortable a journey as possible. Inside your vehicle, you should be supplied with a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, and a puncture repair kit, along with bottled water to keep you hydrated.
Of course, you need to be a safe driver. While it might be tempting to speed up, driving safely and carefully is at least as important off road as it is normally. The terrain is surprisingly treacherous and even a kitted-out car can struggle. Take the time to learn the driving techniques that will allow you to drive off the road safely, as it is wildly different from normal driving.
